DNS Hosting and Dynamic DNS Services
Increasingly web-applications and their requirements are becoming more and more complex. You need to be able to fail-over to a new site in a matter of minutes in the event of an outage. Most DNS providers struggle in this situation by using too long a time-to-live (TTL) and not being able to automatically detect that a server has gone down.
With our API or via our web interface you are free to update your DNS resource records when you like. When used with our monitoring services we can automatically update a DNS record to point at a backup server or site, allowing you to keep on servicing clients even when your primary servers are offline or unreachable.
Our DNS service supports many common APIs in addition to our own API, so it is hoped that the changes required in your applications will be minimal.
